Dallas to Denton (76 km)



Dallas far behind, but still visible



Katrin´s Bionx got fixed, we almost had given up hope! It was a software problem with the computer. At noon the problem was solved and we decided to leave Dallas. It is a very big city, more that 6 million people live there. The town goes on forever, we drove 50 km to get out of it! Luckily it has some biycle lanes, what made driving out of town not to stressful. We had been warned about Texas, dangerous, they steal here, they are rough here, but nothing of that. It looks very clean and people we meet until now were very friendly. 

Now we drive more a more southern route, to Amarillo and then to Santa Fe, our previously planned route. We are curious to see Texas. Texas is the second biggest state of the US (15 times bigger that Switzerland) with 23 millions people living here, one of them is Georg Bush. Most of us remember it for the TV series "Dallas" or the space center in Housten. The current governour, Mr.Perry, is trying to become the Republican nominee for the job as president, but it seems he has little chances.
