St. John to Gagetown (85 km)

The day started colder as we were used to, fall is slowly catching up with us. First in the morning we met 2 bikers from Montreal, it was good to share some information about the roads. Then we took of, drove out of St. John without breakfast and hoping to find some place with coffee nice sandwiches soon. Wrong! It took us 20 km before finding a place to get some food and a watery coffee (even Frank would have prefered a Tim Hortons coffee)
After that we were alone on the road, 60 km without any place to find food or electricity, but colourful landscape along the St. John river, which is called the Canadien Rhin river. The best cycling ever, tailwind, no trafic and a breathtaking scenery.
In Gagetown we found a B&B, which is run by an retired politician and his wife. He has even met with Nelson Mandela and Bill Clinton, who has send a picture and some nice words, all framed and hanging in the office! So we heard some stories here and got a room looking out to the river and the boats. Now are sitting in the local pub, eating chicken wings and drinking wine (Katrin), beer mixed with pepsi (Frank). It was a great day.
